What this site is

kalmanbanu.com is the personal site of Kalman Banu, based in Brisbane, Australia. It describes Syrvos, a product I am building, and offers two things: a waiting list, and a way to book a short call with me.

It is not the Syrvos product, and using this site does not give you access to Syrvos or any right to it.

The waiting list

Joining the list means you will get one email when Syrvos opens. It is not a subscription, a newsletter, or a drip sequence, and I will not add you to one.

You must confirm your address before you are actually on the list, and only you can do that, from your own inbox. Do not add an address you do not control.

Being on the list is not a promise of a place, a price, a launch date, or that Syrvos will launch at all. It is a pre-launch product built by one person, and I would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.

You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing me.

Booking a call

The booking page offers a short conversation. It is genuinely a conversation — I am trying to understand how small service businesses handle their admin — and it is not a sales call, a consultation, or paid work.

Please book in good faith and use a real email address. If you cannot make it, cancel or reschedule using the links in your confirmation rather than leaving the slot empty; there are not many of them.

I may decline or cancel a booking, without giving a reason. If I do, I will tell you.

Anything either of us says on the call is informal. It is not professional, financial, technical or legal advice, and it does not create a client relationship or any obligation to build something.

What I ask of you

Do not:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or anything connected to them,
• probe, scan, or test the security of the site without asking me first,
• submit addresses or details that are not yours,
• automate the booking form or the sign-up form,
• use anything here to send unsolicited email,
• or attempt to disrupt the service for anyone else.

If you are a security researcher and you find something, please email [email protected]. I will be glad to hear from you and I will not take issue with good-faith research that was reported responsibly and did not damage anything or access other people’s data.

Accuracy and availability

I try hard to keep this site truthful. The shipping log and the commit counts are generated from real records and carry the date they were last verified. Even so, things go out of date, and I make no guarantee that every statement is current or free of error.

The site is provided as it is. It runs on hardware I own, it may go down, and I do not promise any particular level of availability. Booking slots shown as free are subject to my calendar and can change.

What belongs to whom

The text, design and code of this site are mine. "Syrvos" is my product name. Please do not copy the site wholesale or present it as your own.

Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine and welcome — you do not need to ask.

Anything you send me — an answer on the booking form, a reply to an email, a suggestion — you keep. If you tell me something about your business that helps shape the product, I may act on the insight, but I will not publish your details or identify you without asking.

Liability

This is a free, informational site run by one person. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from using it, from anything said on a call, or from relying on anything published here.

Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.

Links out

This site links to a small number of other places, including syrvos.ai. I am not responsible for what is on sites I do not run, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction.
